Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do you strip and clean skulls?

A: No. We are a laser engraving shop, not a taxidermist or skull cleaning service. We will etch your already stripped and cleaned trophy skull. We will not strip or clean it for you. DO NOT send us skulls with flesh still on them. We will either send it right back to you at your expense or discard it.

Q: What types of skulls and antlers do you work on?

A: We primarily engrave deer skulls and antlers, but we can work on many other legally obtained animal skulls. If you have something unique, contact us first with photos so we can confirm suitability.

Q: How clean does my skull need to be?

A: Your skull must be fully stripped, degreased, dry, and odor-free. If it smells or has any remaining organic material, it is not ready for engraving. This ensures the best engraving quality and protects our equipment.

Q: Can you engrave colored, painted, or European mounts?

A: Yes. We can engrave natural bone, whitened skulls, and many painted or sealed European mounts. However, some finishes may produce different visual results. Contact us if you have questions.

Q: What designs can you engrave?

A: We can engrave names, dates, hunting information, logos, artwork, and custom designs. Vector artwork works best, but we can often convert high-quality images. The clearer the file, the better the result.

Q: Can you help design my engraving?

A: Absolutely. We offer design assistance and can create custom layouts based on your vision. Additional design fees may apply depending on complexity.

Q: How large can the engraving be?

A: Size depends on the skull or antler shape and surface area. We will review your piece and recommend the best placement and scale for a clean, professional look.

Q: How long does the process take?

A: Turnaround time typically ranges from 1–3 weeks after we receive your skull and approve the design. Timing may vary during peak hunting season.

Q: Do you offer local drop-off or pickup?

A: Yes. Local customers are welcome to arrange drop-off and pickup by appointment.

Q: What if my skull is damaged during shipping?

A: We are not responsible for damage that occurs during transit. Please pack securely and insure your shipment.

Q: Is my trophy safe with you?

A: We treat every piece with care and respect. However, natural materials like skulls can be fragile. By sending your skull, you acknowledge the inherent risks involved with shipping and working on organic materials.
